Nominating & Rules Committee Minutes
Tuesday, January 3, 2006
6:15 p.m.
Members present were: Tim McCall, Chris Moore, Cecil Province and Alec Farmer.
AGENDA ITEMS
Councilman Moore moved, seconded by Councilman Farmer, to recommend to full Council the appointment of Mr. Ted Fortenberry to the Parks Advisory Committee as recommended by Mayor Formon. All voted aye.
Councilman Farmer motioned, seconded by Councilman Province, to place the resolution regarding the Mr. Harry Hardwick’s contract on the agenda for the City Council meeting.
Discussion was held regarding moving to a Committee of the Whole. It was explained that no negative comments have been heard concerning moving to a Committee of the Whole. It was also discussed that citizens would voice their concerns to Mayor Formon or at the City Council meetings, instead of at the Committee of the Whole meetings. It was suggested to move to a Committee of the Whole in 60 days with the meetings being the Thursday nights before a City Council meeting.

With no further business, Councilman Moore moved, seconded by Councilman Farmer for adjournment. All voted aye.
