The Metropolitan Area Planning Commission met on Thursday, January 9, 1969, at 7:30 P.M. in the City Hall.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Ulmer, Kenward, Lane, Melton, Spurlock, Scott, and Brooks Griffin.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Scott.
Item #1. Kenward presented request from Jim Echols to operate an Electrical Appliance Service in existing non conforming use building at the corner of Park and Wood Street. Motion was made by Ulmer that permission be granted subject to the following.
1. Business operation limited to service and repair of small electrical appliances.
2. No retail or wholesale sales allowed.
3. Advertising be limited to 4 square feet area. Window advertising only.
4. Nothing connected with business shall be detrimental to character of neighborhood.
Motion was seconded by Melton. Motion carried. Kenward abstained.
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned.
