AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE NO. 1197 FIXING THE SALARY OF THE CITY TREASURER DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
Section 1: That section 1 of Ordinance No. 1197 is hereby amended to read as follows:
That from and after February 1, 1974, the salary of the City Treasurer is hereby fixed at the sum of $1982.88 per year.
Section 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that the burden or work and duties of the City Treasurer have greatly increased therefore, and emergency is hereby declared and this ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage and adoption.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 4th day of February, 1974.
