RESOLUTION TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH HERBERT DAVIS TO BE THE INTERIM FINANCE DEPARTMENT DIRECTOR

WHEREAS, The City of Jonesboro desires to enter into a contract with Herbert Davis, an independent contractor for the purpose of directing the Finance Department of the City of Jonesboro on an interim basis; and
WHEREAS, It is in the best interest of the City of Jonesboro that the City Council Authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute this contract;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS, THAT:
1. This contract for the purpose of obtaining the services of Herbert Davis to direct the Finance Department activities of the City of Jonesboro on an interim basis is in the best interest of the residents of the City of Jonesboro.
2. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute said contract.
