WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, July 15th, 1980, praying the City Council vacate and abandon portion of a street described as:
 
That a portion of School Street between Thorn Street and Clark Street and which is bordered on the North by Lots 34 and 19 of Pardew's addition to the Town of Nettleton, Arkansas, and on the South by Lots 33 and 18 of Pardew's addition to the Town of Nettleton, Arkansas, in the City of Jonesboro, Craighead County, Arkansas.
 
Said lots and streets as being platted and filed for record in the Recorder's Office at Jonesboro, Arkansas in Deed Record 14, page 4 and according to said plat, said street if 40 feet north and south and 180 feet east and west: and
 
NOW THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas.
 
Section 1: City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, hereby releases, vacates and abandons all its rights, together with the rights of the public generally in and to the streets described as follows:
 
That portion of School Street between Thorn Street and Clark Street and which is bordered on the North by Lots 34 and 19 of Pardew's addition to the Town of Nettleton, Arkansas, and on the South by Lots 33 of 18 of Pardew's addition to the Town of Nettleton, Arkansas,
 
Said lots appearing in plat recorded in Deed Record 14, page 4 at the office of the Circuit Clerk of Craighead County, Western District, Arkansas, and according to said plat, said street is 40 feet north and south and 180 feet east and west.
 
Section 2: The abutting property owners to the north and south of the area abandoned and closed herein shall immediately make a formal dedication of all utility easements within said street due to respective utility.
 
Section 3: This Ordinance shall be and in force from and after its passage.
 
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of September, 1980.
