PUBLIC HEARING - 6:30 P.M. - A public hearing was conducted by MATA'S Implementation Committee regarding prioritized street projects throughout Jonesboro. Mr. Ernie Peters, Traffic Engineer and Mr. Danny Honnell, Chairman of the Implementation Committee answered questions for the Council and the public.

CITY COUNCIL MINUTES, DECEMBER 5, 1994

The Jonesboro City Council met in regular session, Monday, December 5, 1994, at 7:30 P.M. A full quorum was in attendance. Present were the Mayor, City Clerk, City Attorney, and all council members with the exception of Councilman Province who was unable to attend.

The minutes of November 14 (Special Called Meeting) and November 21, 1994, were approved as mailed on motion by Councilman Perrin seconded by Councilman Wise. A roll call vote was taken resulting in all council members voting aye. Those members voting aye were: Wise, Evans, Ingram, Mullenix, Bowers, Perrin, Kelton, Vance, Harpole, Mays, and Hannah.

Councilman Harpole offered the following ordinance for the first reading:

AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 2463, WHICH APPROVED THE METROPOLITAN AREA TRAFFIC AUTHORITY'S STREET AND HIGHWAY PLAN DATED JANUARY 14, 1992, WITH CERTAIN CONDITIONS, BY ADDING CERTAIN RECOMMENDATIONS AS PRESENTED BY THE METROPOLITAN AREA TRAFFIC AUTHORITY IMPLEMENTATION COMMITTEE ON DECEMBER 5, 1994.

Councilman Harpole moved, seconded by Councilman Bowers to suspend the rules and place on second reading. A roll call vote was taken resulting in all council members voting aye. Those members voting aye were: Wise, Evans, Ingram, Mullenix, Bowers, Perrin, Kelton, Vance, Harpole, Mays, and Hannah. Councilman Mays moved, seconded by Councilman Perrin to further suspend the rules and place on the third and final reading. A roll call vote was taken resulting in all council members voting aye.
