AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBER 3390 ADOPTING A 2003 ANNUAL BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS

WHEREAS, The City of Jonesboro has determined there exists the need to hire two additional firemen to maintain necessary minimum personnel standards following the military activation of two City firemen: and
WHEREAS, funding for the additional firemen is available in the 2003 annual budget from the existing appropriation for the vacated position,
BE IT THEREFORE ORDAINED, by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas; that the 2003 annual budget is hereby amended by the addition of two firefighter positions to maintain minimum personnel standards for the fire department resulting from the military activation of two firefighters.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of July, 2003.
