RESOLUTION TO WIDEN EAST STREET AND TO WIDEN CREATH OR CARSON STREET

BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor of Jonesboro be, and he is hereby, instructed to forthwith accomplish the widening of East Street between Monroe and Creath to a 40-ft. surfaced area in 60-ft. right-of-way, and to acquire, by grant or condemnation, all rights-of-way required and to complete same on or before December 1, 1960.
The Mayor is further authorized and instructed to widen surfaced area of Creath between East Street and Bridge Street or Carson Street from Creath to Monroe to a width to be determined by him and to accomplish same by December 1, 1960.
No part of cost shall be charged or collected from abutting real estate and no right-of-way taken will result in any lessening of depth of tract described in Option of Peoples’ Property Association to Post Office Department dated July 5, 1960.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 6th day of September, 1960.
