AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO.954 KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CHANGE IN ZONING BOUNDARIES

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:

 

Section 1: That Ordinance No.954 known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro is amended as recommended by the Metropolitan Are Planning Commission by the change in zoning district boundaries as follows: (Ronnie White C-3 to R-2 Fox Meadow Subdivision, W of Stadium, and N of Fox Meadow Lane - Skip Mooney)

 

From Commercial (C-3) to Residential (R-2 of property described as follows: Lots 1 through 8, Block G; Lots 1 through 15, Block E; and Lots 1 through 15, Block F, Fox Meadow Village 2nd Addition to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, also described as : A part of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 4, Township 13 North, Range 4 East, being more particularly described as follows: Begin at the Southwest Corner of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 4 aforesaid; thence North 89°24’ East 435.66 feet to the point of beginning proper; thence North 0°23’ West 1164.17 feet; thence South 89°31’ West 222.57 feet; thence North 0°29’ West 150.0 feet; thence North 89°31’ East 522.83 feet; thence South 0°23’ East 1313.56 feet; thence South 89°24’ West 300.0 feet to the point of beginning proper, containing 9.815 acres and being subject to a public road right-of-way off and across the South side thereof.

 

Section 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that proper use of the tract of land described in this Ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning and that, therefore, an emergency exists and this Ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, it shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
