ORDINANCE TO APPROVE CONSULTING CONTRACT WITH PROFESSIONAL MANAGEMENT CONSULTING INC. (PMCI), AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH AN ALDERMAN

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro has the need to obtain services for the transition of the newly elected officials; and
WHEREAS, said services may be obtained from PMCI.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:
1. The City of Jonesboro shall enter into a contract with PMCI for consulting services during the transition period, beginning December 1, 2008.
2. That the contract with PMCI is specifically authorized with the conflict provisions of A.C.A. § 14-42-107 waived.
3. That Mayor Doug Forman and City Clerk Donna Jackson are authorized to execute such documents as are necessary to effectuate said agreement.
