RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT THE BID FROM CAMERON CONSTRUCTION FOR CURB CUTS AND RAMP WORK

WHEREAS, bids were taken for curb cuts and ramp work seeking the lowest bidder; and
WHEREAS, it was discovered that one of the vendors had made a $3,000 error in the addition of his bid, making Cameron Construction the lowest bid meeting bid specifications; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor’s Office, and the Finance Committee reviewed the information provided by the Purchasing Agent, and Engineering Staff and agreed Cameron Construction was the lowest bidder after considering the error in addition by another vendor.
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED, by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, to accept the lowest bid meeting bid specifications, Bid No. 2006:10 from Cameron Construction for a total of $198,230.25, subject to legal review by the Jonesboro City Attorney.
