AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 954, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR CHANGES IN ZONING BOUNDARIES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
SECTION 1: That Ordinance No. 954 known as the zoning ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, be amended as recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission (RZ90-4) by the changes in zoning classifications as follows:
From Agricultural (AG-1) to Industrial (I-2) the following described property: (Roy F. Painter, III)
A part of the SW 1/4, NW 1/3 Section 25, T14N, R4E, Craighead County, Arkansas to wit: Begin at the Southwest Corner of the SW 1/4, NW 1/4 of said Section 25, then run North along the west line of Section 25, aforesaid 298.3 feet; thence run north 88°30' East 1314.4 feet to the east line of the SW 1/4, NW 1/4 aforesaid; then run south along said east line 298.3 feet; then run south 88°30' west 1314.4 feet to the west line of said Section 25 and to the point of beginning, containing 9.00 acres.
SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that the proper use of the tract of land described above in this ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning, and that, therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance, being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
