RESOLUTION TO AMEND THE CITY OF JONESBORO PAY PLAN TO REMOVE THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SAFETY POSITION AND TO MOVE THE POLICE AND FIRE CHIEF POSITIONS

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro adopted Resolution No. 2004:02 implementing Pay Plan B Modified following a study by Condrey and Associates; and

WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, has identified the need to amend the existing Wage and Salary Management Plan;

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS, that

SECTION ONE: The position of Director of Public Safety was removed from Grade 25 of the City pay plan with the passage of Ordinance 3457.

SECTION TWO: The positions of Police Chief and Fire Chief are moved to Grade 25 with no addition of funds to the 2005 City Budget being required.
