Minutes for the City Council meeting on October 3, 1960

The City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Ark., met in regular session at City Hall, Monday night, October 3, 1960, at 7:30 p.m. There were present: Mayor, City Attorney, City Clerk and the following named Councilmen: Parks, Williams, Smith, Brickell, Snow, Kenward, Field, Griffin and Ebbert. Absent: Sammons, Heern and Copeland.
Mr. Parks offered the following resolution:
RESOLUTION TO MOVE HOUSES
Mr. Parks made the motion seconded by Mr. Kenward that the resolution be adopted. Roll was called. All members present voted aye. Motion was carried. The resolution was given the number 1960:13.
Mr. Snow offered the following resolution:
RESOLUTION TO WAIVE THE SETBACK PROVISIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF AN OFFICE BUILDING FOR A MOTEL AS REQUESTED BY FRANK MACON
Mr. Snow made the motion seconded by Mr. Brickell that the resolution be adopted. Roll was called. All present voted aye. Motion carried. The resolution was given the number 1960:12.
Mr. Kenward made the motion seconded by Mr. Field that the bills as okayed by the Finance Committee be paid. Roll was called. All aye. Motion was carried.
There being no further business, Council voted unanimously to adjourn until October 24, 1960.
