A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS  APPROVING A CONTRACT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES WITH BRACKETT KRENNERICH & ASSOCIATES, P.A. FOR ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES FOR THE NEW CITY HALL, FORMERLY KNOWN AS THE MERCANTILE CENTER

Body

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas desires to obtain the services of Brackett Krennerich & Associates P.A. to renovate the new City Hall, formerly known as the Mercantile Center; and

WHEREAS, this contract has been recommended by the Public Works Committee.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS, THAT:

Section 1:  The City of Jonesboro approves the contract in the sum of $140,500 with a completion date of August 1, 2013, for architectural services with Brackett Krennerich & Associates, P.A. for the renovations of the new City Hall, formerly known as the Mercantile Center.

Section 2:   The Mayor, Harold Perrin and City Clerk, Donna Jackson are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.

PASSED AND APPROVED this 6th day of November, 2012.
