AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND NO. 2556

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
SECTION 1: Ordinance No. 2556 known as the Ordinance providing for changes in property description for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, be amended as recommended by the metropolitan area planning commission by the changes in property description as follows:
A part of the Southwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter Section 23, Township 14 North, Range 3 East, Craighead County, Arkansas, and being more particularly described as follows;
Commencing at the Southeast Corner of the Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 23; thence South 89 40' West 1557.23 feet; thence 0 51' 47" East 198.5 feet to the point of beginning proper; thence South 83 13' 47" West 396.51 feet; thence South 73 51'47" West 163.0 feet; thence South 73 33'55" West 237.22 feet; thence South 66 55' 08" West 113.33 feet; thence South 89 40' West 194.9 feet; thence North 0 28' 25" East 730.0 feet; thence North 89 38' 41" East 1079.0 feet; thence South 0 51' 47" West 532.0 feet; to the point of beginning proper, containing 15.53 acres more or less and being subject to all public and private roads and easements.
SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that the proper use of the tract (tracts) of land described above in this Ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning, and that therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance, being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
