PUBLIC HEARING - 6:15 P.M. - The Public Hearing requested by Mr. Ben Flynn was cancelled due to conflicting land surveys.

CITY COUNCIL MINUTES, OCTOBER 16, 1995

The Jonesboro City Council met Monday, October 16, 1995, at 6:30 p.m. A full quorum was in attendance. Present were Mayor Brodell, City Clerk, Donna Jackson, City Attorney, Phillip Crego, and ten council members. Those Councilmen were: Wise, Rega, Evans, Province, Young, Tate, Kelton, Roddy, Harpole, and Hannah. Councilmen Vance and Perrin were unable to attend the meeting.

The minutes of October 2, 1995, were approved as mailed by Councilman Tate seconded by Councilman Young. A roll call vote was taken resulting in all council members voting aye. Those Councilmen voting aye were: Wise, Rega, Evans, Province, Young, Tate, Kelton, Roddy, Harpole, and Hannah.

Councilman Gary Harpole, Chairman of the Personnel Committee informed city employees and council members of a hearing scheduled for October 26, 1995, at 6:30 p.m. for the purpose of answering any questions regarding the salary plan. Mr. Harpole urged everyone to write down questions they may have and give them to the Personnel Director before the hearing. At the request of Councilman Harpole, Dr. Dan Hoyt explained how he developed the salary plan.

Items 4-A and 4-B were both pulled from the agenda. Item 4-A was an ordinance for Mr. Ben Flynn and Item 4-B was a rezoning for Schwan's Sales Ent. which contained no ordinance.

Councilman Kelton offered the following ordinance for the first reading:

AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 954 KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR CHANGES IN ZONING BOUNDARIES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. (Rubin Griffin)

Mr. Brian Wadley, Planning and Inspection Director stated Mr. Griffin has been asked to provide a site plan. Councilman Evans moved, seconded by Councilman Wise to suspend the rules and place on the second reading. A roll call vote was...
