A RESOLUTION TO ADOPT THE PARKS AND RECREATION MASTER PLAN FOR THE JONESBORO PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT

WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department was permitted to create a master parks plan for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro entered into an agreement with Halff Associates to provide professional services for a Parks and Recreation Master Plan; and,
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Master Plan identifies park facility conditions, principles of enhanced access, public park needs, targeted investment, diverse programs, long-term goals and more; and,
WHEREAS, the Master Parks Plan will be utilized to appropriately address needs within the Parks and Recreation Department and ensure all citizens have access to quality facilities and outdoor recreation opportunities.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS;
Section 1: The City Council for the City of Jonesboro does hereby adopt the Parks and Recreation Master Plan.
