A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS ACCEPTING BID FOR AUTOMATED TRANSIT FAREBOXES

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro intends to begin operation of the Jonesboro Economical Transportation Service no later than April 3, 2006.
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro bid the purchase of automated transit fareboxes and opened bids on August 10, 2005.
WHEREAS, the low bidder for the project that meets specs is GFI Genfare, Inc. ($133,515) which would be in budget.
WHEREAS, the funds for the project will come from the Federal Transit Administration Capital Investment, previously approved by the City Council and the Federal Transit Administration.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
SECTION 1: That the City of Jonesboro accepts the low bid of $133,515 from GFI Genfare, Inc. for automated transit fareboxes.
SECTION 2: That the Mayor, Douglas Formon and City Clerk, Donna Jackson are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.
