RESOLUTION REQUESTING FROM THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT REMOVAL AND DISPOSAL OF STROM DEBRIS

WHEREAS, on the 30^th day of May, 1973, the President declared a major disaster in the State of Arkansas under the provisions of Public Law 606, 91^st Congress; and

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro is a public entity within said State;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro that the Office of Emergency Preparedness be and hereby is requested to arrange to have the appropriate federal agency perform the following work:

Remove and dispose of storm generated debris within the city limits of the City of Jonesboro.

This body certified that, to the best of its knowledge and belief, the requested work is eligible under Public Law 606, 91^st Congress, and agrees to provide without cost to the United States all lands, easements and rights-of-way necessary for accomplishment of the approved work and hold and save the United States free from damages due to the approved work and with respect to debris shall indemnify the federal government against any claim arising from such removal.
