A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS TO CONTRACT WITH NRS CONSULTING ENGINEERS

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro is seeking to develop plans to continue the Turtle Creek Greenway from the Turtle Creek retention pond to Allen Park;

WHEREAS, a survey and engineering plans are needed to bid out the construction of the Greenway;

WHEREAS, NRS Consulting Engineers is requesting $6,000 to perform the engineering work for the Greenway;

WHEREAS, funds for the engineering shall come from the 2005 Arkansas Forestry Commission Urban Forestry Grant; budget line item 07-000-585-00.

WHEREAS, the Arkansas Forestry Commission Grant is a 50/50 matching grant.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS:

SECTION 1: That the City of Jonesboro shall contract with NRS Consulting Engineers for $6,000 to prepare a survey and engineering plan for the Turtle Creek Greenway.

SECTION 2: The Mayor, Doug Formon and City Clerk, Donna Jackson are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.
