A RESOLUTION TO CONTRACT WITH WOUNDED WARRIORS AMPUTEE SOFTBALL TEAM TO HOST AN EVENT IN JONESBORO ARKANSAS ON NOVEMBER 10-12, 2017

WHEREAS, the activities for the weekend will be coordinated by the “Honoring Our Heroes” Committee.
WHEREAS, an upfront donation of $5,000 will be covered by an A & P grant for this event.
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro softball will partner with Fairfield Suites to provide motel rooms for WWAST.
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro softball will partner with two local restaurants to provide meals for WWAST.
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro softball will partner with a local car dealer for transportation for WWAST.
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro softball will provide an exhibition game with the WWAST for the general softball Community. Location Southside Softball Complex.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: That the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas shall contract with the WWAST to host a three day Softball event at the Southside Softball Complex. A copy of said contract is attached as Exhibit A.
SECTION 2: The Mayor, Harold Perrin and City Clerk, Donna Jackson are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate the agreement.
