SPECIAL CALLED MEETING CITY COUNCIL MINUTES - DECEMBER 23, 1996
The Jonesboro City Council met at 314 W. Washington at 12:00 p.m. in Council’s Chamber Present were the Mayor, City Clerk, City Attorney and Ten council members. They were as follows: Wise, Province, Hannah, Young, Rega, Tate, Kelton, Roddy, Perrin and Harpole. A full quorum was present.
Councilman Kelton offered the following ordinance for the first reading:
AN ORDINANCE DELEGATING AUTHORITY TO THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS TO AMEND THE 1996 OPERATING BUDGET BY THE TRANSFER OF APPROPRIATED FUNDS.
Councilman Perrin moved, seconded by Councilman Kelton to suspend the rules and place on the second reading. A roll call vote was taken resulting in all council members voting aye. Councilman Kelton moved seconded by Councilman Roddy to further suspend the rules and place on the third and final reading. A roll call vote was taken resulting in all council members voting aye. Councilwoman Hannah moved, seconded by Councilman Wise for the adoption of the ordinance. A roll call vote was taken resulting in all council members voting aye. The ordinance was given the number 2749.
With no further business the meeting was adjourned.
