AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 954, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR CHANGES IN ZONING BOUNDARIES

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the Jonesboro, Arkansas, that Ordinance #954, be amended as follows:
Section 1: That Ordinance No. 954, known as Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, to be amended as recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by changes in the zoning district boundaries as follows: From Commercial C-5 to Residential R-1 of the following described property:
Lots 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 of Block G, in the Marlo Acres Addition.
Section 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that the proper use of the tracts of land described in this ordinance is being delayed by the improper zoning, that, therefore, and emergency exists, and this ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, it shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
