AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 2005 ANNUAL BUDGET TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL FUNDING FOR THE PURCHASE OF A FIRE PUMPER TRUCK APPARATUS

WHEREAS, the 2005 annual budget includes an appropriation in the amount of $300,000 in the Fixed Asset Fund, Account Number 15-100-422-00, for the acquisition of a pumper truck apparatus for the fire Department, and

WHEREAS, additional funding is required for the purchase of a Pierce Pumper Truck Apparatus at a price of $365,110

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that:    

SECTION 1: The sum of $65,110 is appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Capital Improvement Fund

SECTION 2: The appropriated funds shall be transferred into budget account 15-100-422-00 to provide additional funding for the purchase of the apparatus

SECTION 3: It is hereby found and declared that an emergency exists and that this ordinance, being necessary to provide additional funding for the purchase of the fire pumper truck apparatus, shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
