AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE MONEY FROM UNALLOCATED SALES TAX FOR THE PURCHASE OF HUNTINGTON AVE. METHODIST CHURCH

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:

SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas hereby appropriates $495,083.00 dollars to come from unallocated sales tax, and

SECTION 2: Said funds shall be paid to the Board of Trustees of the Huntington Ave. Methodist Church for the purchase of property located at 900 W. Monroe.

SECTION 3: This Ordinance being necessary for the financial continuity of the City of Jonesboro, there is hereby declared to be an emergency and this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.

PASSED AND ADOPTED this 4^th day of January, 1999.
