RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF JONESBORO GRANTS DEPARTMENT TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENT WITH THE ARKANSAS STATE HIGHWAY AND TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT TO ACCEPT THE FY 2013 FTA SECTION 5316 JOB ACCESS REVERSE COMMUTE (JARC) PROGRAM GRANT

Body

Whereas, the City of Jonesboro did apply for and was awarded $149,600, and

Whereas, the City of Jonesboro's local match on said grant is $119,900, for a total grant amount of $269,500, and

Whereas, the City of Jonesboro will use said funds for capital and operating costs for the JETS department, and

Whereas, the funded line items are yearly budgeted line items for the City of Jonesboro JETS Department.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:

SECTION 1: The City of Jonesboro will use said funds from the JARC program grant for operating and capital expenses for the JETS Department, and

SECTION 2: The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.
