ORDINANCE TO VACATE AND ABANDON THE STREET RIGHT OF WAY FOR WARNER AVENUE BETWEEN MAIN STREET AND UNION STREET

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that:
 
SECTION 1: The City of Jonesboro Arkansas, hereby releases, vacates and abandons all of its rights, together with the rights of the public generally, subject to such easements as may be required by City Water and Light, in and to that portion of Warner Avenue described as follows:
 
The street right of way for Warner Avenue extending from the east line of the right of way for Union Street to the west line of the right of way for Main Street in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
 
SECTION 2: A copy of the ordinance duly certified by the City Clerk shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of Craighead County, Arkansas and shall be filed in the Deed Records of such office.
 
SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas finds and declares that the above street is not necessary for the general benefit and welfare of the public; that the owners of all the property abutting the above street are in favor of the closure and vacation of the above street; and that therefore an emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
