RESOLUTION CONDEMNING 205 THORN STREET

WHEREAS, the City Inspector and Fire Chief of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas have made a full inspection of the property known as 205 Thorn Street, Jonesboro, Arkansas, which apparently is owned by Mr. Willey Walker, 25026 Woodward Avenue, Lamita, California; and
WHEREAS, said officials have found and reported that a structure located on said property is in a deplorable and dilapidated condition, being readily subject to collapse, and further constituting a fire hazard and a health hazard to the surrounding neighborhood and have recommended that such structure be condemned and demolished;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that the structure located on the property described above be and it is hereby found and determined to be dilapidated, unsightly, unsafe and a hazard to the public safety and welfare; and that pursuant to City Ordinances and State Law, the owner of said property shall be given by the City Attorney ___ days notice to remove or tear down such building; and upon the owner’s failure so to do that the said Inspector enter upon said property and premises and remove or tear down such building so that the same is not dilapidated, unsightly, unsafe or hazardous.
