AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE 2004 ANNUAL BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL ADA FUNDS.

WHEREAS, Ordinance Number 3450 adopting a 2004 annual budget for the City of Jonesboro appropriated in the Capital Improvement Fund, line item 07-100-187-00, the sum of $200,000 for construction and modifications required under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA); and
WHEREAS, additional funds are required to fund additional ADA construction and modifications during 2004,
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas that:
SECTION 1: The sum of $200,000.00 is hereby transferred from the 2004 appropriation in the Capital Improvement Fund for City Drainage Projects, line item number 07-100-152-00, to line item number 07-100-187-00 for construction and modifications required under the ADA.
SECTION 2: It is further found that due to the immediate need to provide additional funds under the ADA, an emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, it shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
