A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS TO CONTRACT WITH FTN ASSOCIATES, LTD FOR CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT SERVICES. (NOTE: THIS CONTRACT WAS TERMINATE WITH RES-07:77 ON MARCH 20, 2007)

WHEREAS, The Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality on October 19, 2005 ask for the City of Jonesboro to develop a Landfill Gas Remediation Plan; and
WHEREAS, The City of Jonesboro entered into a contract with FTN Associates, LTD to develop a Landfill Gas Remediation Plan; and
WHEREAS, The Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality approved The Landfill Gas Remediation plan December 19, 2005; submitted by FTN Associates; and
WHEREAS, The deadline for completion of Construction of Closure System shall be completed no later than December 31, 2006; and
WHEREAS, FTN Associates, LTD has agreed to provide Construction Management Services of the Installation of Landfill Gas Extraction System and Final Cover System for the City of Jonesboro Landfill Facility, at a cost not to exceed $95,000.00, without prior approval.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas that:
Section 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with FTN Associates, LTD to develop a Landfill Gas Remediation Plan.
