RESOLUTION TO EXPRESS APPRECIATION TO ESTELLE JOHNSON FOR HER SERVICE TO THE CITY OF JONESBORO AND ITS CITIZENS AS THE CITY TREASURER

WHEREAS, Estelle Johnson has for the past six years served the City of Jonesboro as City Treasurer; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Johnson has tendered her resignation to the Mayor of the City of Jonesboro; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jonesboro desires to spread the following Resolution upon the minutes:
RESOLVED, that the City Council recognizes the excellent, energetic and intelligent service that Mrs. Johnson has rendered to the City during the years she has served as City Treasurer.
RESOLVED FURTHER, Mrs. Johnson has performed an excellent service for our City and its people and the City Council and citizens of Jonesboro greatly appreciate her untiring service. In accepting her resignation the City Council pays its deepest respect, esteem and administration unto her.
FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution shall spread upon the official minutes and become a lasting tribute to Mrs. Johnson for her devotion to duty. And, that a copy of this Resolution be tendered to Mrs. Johnson as an expression of the Council’s sincere application and gratitude for the services rendered by her.
