RESOLUTION TO ADJUST SALARIES IN AN EFFORT TO RAISE THEM TO THE AVERAGE OF CITIES SURVEYED AS RECOMMENDED BY THE FINANCE COMMITTEE

Whereas, the Human Resource Director for the City of Jonesboro has completed an extensive independent salary survey comparing Jonesboro to various other Arkansas cities, and

 

Whereas, the survey indicates, and the Jonesboro City Council acknowledges the need to increase salaries throughout the city’s Salary Administration Plan in an effort to raise Jonesboro salaries to the average of cities surveyed, and

 

Whereas, such adjustments should become effective July 1, 2001, and then follow in annual increments until the average is reached, and

 

Whereas, these wage increases will be independent of any annual cost of living adjustment, and

 

BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas that salaries be adjusted as recommended by the Personnel/Insurance/Professional Services Committee, and funded as recommended by the Finance Committee.

 

APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of June, 2001.
