AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING A PART OF LOT TWO (2) OF EDDINS & LAIRD’S SUBDIVISION OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION THIRTY (30), TOWNSHIP FOURTEEN (14) NORTH, RANGE FOUR (4) EAST, TO THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
It being determined by the County Court of Craighead County, Arkansas, after due notice and according to the provisions of law, to enter an order of annexation on November 19, 1956, making; Part of Lot Two (2) of Eddins & Laird’s Subdivision of the Northeast Quarter of Section Thirty (30), Township Fourteen (14) North, Range Four (4) East, to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, being more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the Northwest corner of the Southwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section Thirty (30), Township Fourteen (14) North, Range Four (4) East, thence East eight hundred fifty-four and one-half (854.5) feet to the East right-of-way line of Arkansas State Highway No.1 as now located; thence South fourteen (14) degrees fifty-five (55) minutes East two hundred sixteen and three-tenths (216.3) feet along said East right-of-way line two hundred nine and four-tenths (209.4) feet; thence South eighty-seven (87) degrees thirty-two (32) minutes East one hundred seventy-three (173) feet; thence North two hundred (200) feet; then North eighty-seven (87) degrees thirty-two (32) minutes West to the West right-of-way line of State Highway No.1, thence in a southerly direction along said West right-of-way line two hundred nine and four-tenths (209.4) feet, thence South eighty-seven (87) degrees thirty-two (32) minutes East to the East right-of-way line of State Highway No.1, thence northward along the said East right-of-way line to the point of beginning; a part of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas. It being found that said territory should be accepted into and made part of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas.
