RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF THREE NEW CITY BUSES

BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas sitting in regular assembled session this 4^th day of September, 1956, that the City Commissioners of Public Transportation be and are hereby authorized to purchase three new city buses at a purchase price of not to exceed the sum of $18,900.00from the lowest bidder. Said purchase to be upon a conditional sales contract, or such other method of finance as the Commission may deem in the best interest of said city.

The three buses to be paid for out of the net profit from the operation of all city buses, and to be secured by a mortgage or such conditional sales contract and in no event is the general revenues of the City of Jonesboro to be pledged of encumbered to secure the payment of said buses.

Be it further resolved that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to negotiate, to enter into or to execute any contracts or agreements to carry into effect the above purchase under the terms and conditions herein above set out.
