AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 2203; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2203 was adopted by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas on August 7, 1989: and
WHEREAS, said Ordinance rezoned certain lands described therein as R-3; and
WHEREAS, the legal description of the rezoned lands was incorrect and should have read “less and except the west 318 feet of the north 400 feet thereof”.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
SECTION 1: That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 2203 be amended to read “LESS and EXCEPT the west 318 feet of the north 400 feet thereof”.
SECTION 2: It is hereby found and declared by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that there is now an emergency that Ordinance No. 2203 be amended as stated above thereby correcting the legal description of the lands to be rezoned. There, this Ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage.
