AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 954 KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ZONING BOUNDARIES.

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
SECTION 1: That Ordinance No. 954 known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro be amended as recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the change in zoning district boundaries as follows:
From Residential (R-1) to Industrial (I-1) of property described as follows: (Charles Johnson)
A tract of land located in the Northwest Quarter of Section 13, Township 14 North, Range 3 East more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the Northwest Corner of Section 13, thence South 959.9 feet to the point of beginning, thence South 75° 13' East 400.0 feet, thence North 14°4' East 10.0 feet, thence South 75°13' East 230.4 feet, thence South 01 25' East 369.5 feet, thence South 87 30' West 61.6 feet, thence South 03 22' West 312.0 feet to a point in the center of D.D. #30, thence South 89°20' West 538.88 feet along center of said ditch, thence North 840.96 feet to the point of beginning containing 8.11 acres more or less, and subject to drainage ditch R/W on the South side.
SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that proper use of the tract (s) of land described in this Ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning and that, therefore, an emergency exists and this Ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, it shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
