A RESOLUTION TO CONTRACT WITH ORLAN’S LAWN SERVICE FOR MOWING OF VACANT LOTS

WHEREAS , the City of Jonesboro owns and maintains vacant lots;

WHEREAS, Orlan’s Lawn Service was the lowest bidder meeting specifications with an annual price of $5,296.20 plus city, county and state taxes;

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro desires to enter into a 3 year contract with Orlan’s Lawn Service for the mowing of vacant lots;

WHEREAS, funds for the mowing contract shall come from Building Maintenance and Grounds line item number 01-115-0221;

NOW, THERFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS:

SECTION 1: That the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas shall contract with Orlan’s Lawn Service for the purpose of mowing vacant lots. A copy of said contract is attached as “Exhibit A”.

SECTION 2:  The Mayor Harold Perrin and the City Clerk, Donna Jackson are herby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate the agreement.
