WHEREAS, in recognition of the dedication, devotion, and commitment shown by the Jonesboro High School Golden Hurricane Marching Band and their Director Mr. Steve Warner for being chosen by the Presidential Inaugural Committee to perform in the 1997 Presidential Inaugural Parade in Washington D.C.; and

WHEREAS, each application was judged based on Tradition, History, Resume, Audio and Video by the Presidential Inaugural Committee;

BE IT THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas the adoption of this resolution is in honor of the Jonesboro High School Golden Hurricane Marching Band and their Director Mr. Steve Warner. We offer our congratulations and appreciation for being chosen to represent the City of Jonesboro and Jonesboro High School.
