AN ORDINANCE TO VACATE A TEN FOOT ALLEY BETWEEN THORN STREET AND CLARK STREET, AND A TEN FOOT ALLEY BETWEEN CLARK STREET AND UNA STREET.

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas on the 16th day of July, 1990, to vacate and abandon a 10 foot alley running north and south
Between Thorn Street and Clark Street, south of the abandoned portion of School Street, between lots 15, 16, 17 & 18 and lots 30, 31, 32, & 33 of Pardews Addition, a distance of 200' AND
A 10' alley running north and south between Clark Street and Una Street, south of School Street, between lots 12 and 13 of Pardews Addition, a distance of 200’.
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Council has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard all persons desiring to be heard on the question as has ascertained that the alley or the portion thereof, hereinbefore described as theretofore been dedicated to the public use as an alley herein described has not been actually used by the pubic generally for a period of at least five (5) years subsequent to the filing of the plat; that all owners of the property abutting upon the portion of the alley to be vacated have filed with the Council their written consent to such abandonment; and that the public interest and welfare will not be adversely affected by the abandonment of such alley.
SECTION 1: The City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, hereby releases, vacates and abandons all of its rights, together with the rights of the public generally, in and to the alley designated as follows:
