AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 954, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR CHANGES IN ZONING BOUNDARIES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
SECTION 1: That Ordinance Number 954 known as the zoning ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, be amended as recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the changes in zoning classifications as follows: From Residential (R-1) to Agricultural (AG-1) the following described property. (Winston Quinn Tract)
DESCRIPTION:
Begin at the 1/4 corner of Section 9 and 10, Township 13, North, Range 3 East: thence N89º 21' E on the 1/4 Section Line 1239.0' ; thence N0º 55' W 2341.70' to the point of beginning proper; thence N0º 55' W 260.0' to the South Right-Of- Way Line of U.S. Highway 49 South (Southwest Drive); thence S89º43' 54" E on said South Right-Of-Way Line 248.0'; thence S0º55' E 260.0' ; thence N89º 43'54" W 248.0' to the point of beginning proper containing 1.48 acres, more or less, subject to all rights-of-way and easements or record.
SECTION 2: IT IS FOUND AND DECLARED BY THE City Council that the proper use of the tracts(s) of land described above in this ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning, and that, therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
