AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 954, THE ZONING ORDINANCE TO REZONE FROM RESIDENTIAL (R-2) TO COMMERCIAL (C-5), CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED AT 803, 805, AND 807 LOGAN AVENUE

WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission has heard all persons desiring to be heard regarding the proposed rezoning of certain properties generally located at 803, 805, AND 807 Logan Avenue.

 

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:

 

That Ordinance No. 954, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is hereby amended by the change in zoning district classifications, from Residential R-2 to Commercial C-5, for the following described property:

 

A part of Lot 7 of Block 1 of Broadaway’s Addition to the City of Jonesboro Arkansas as shown by plat recorded in Deed Record Book 18 at Page 169 in the office of the Circuit Clerk for the Western District of Craighead County, in Jonesboro, Arkansas more particularly described as follows:

 

From the southwest corner of said Lot 7, the Point of Beginning;  Thence S89°55’09” W. 178.92 feet along the south line of said Lot 7 to a point marking the northwest corner of Lot 8 of Block 1 of said Broadway’s Addition, continue thence S. 89°55’09” W 44.49 feet along the south line of said Lot 7 extended to a point lying 49.25 feet east of the west line of said Lot 7, thence N00°21’24” E 123.49 feet along a line 49.25 feet east of a parallel to the west line of said Lot 7 to a point on the southerly right of way of Logan Avenue, thence S89°24’55” E. 22305 feet along said right of way to a point on the east line of said Lot 7, thence S00°09’59” W. 115.81 feet along the east line of said Lot 7 to the southeast corner thereof, the Point of Beginning containing some 0.623 acres, more or less.
