AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 1244, SAME BEING AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE FIRE PREVENTION CODE OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS

BE IT ORDAINED AND ENACTED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:

Section 1: Section 1 of Ordinance No. 1244 is amended as follows:

The Fire Prevention Code for the City of Jonesboro hereinafter shall be the 1974 Southern Standard Fire Prevention Code.

Section 2: All Ordinances and/or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.

Section 3: It is found and declared by the City Council that this Ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
