RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN AMENDED COOPERATION AGREEMENT FOR THE LOW RENT PUBLIC HOUSING PROGRAM BETWEEN THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS AND THE JONESBORO URBAN RENEWAL AND HOUSING AUTHORITY

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas and the Jonesboro Urban Renewal and Housing Authority entered into a Cooperation Agreement on October 4, 1982, June 1977, and May 1, 1978 in consideration of certain mutual agreements; and
WHEREAS, a part of those agreements reflects payment in lieu of taxes paid by the Jonesboro Urban Renewal and Housing Authority to the City; and
WHEREAS, Jonesboro Urban Renewal and Housing Authority has purchased forth-five (45) additional units of public housing and it is desirous to increase the total units from ninety-five (95) to one hundred forty (140) and to increase the per unit charge form $25.9150 to $30 per unit on all units.
BE IT RESOLVED, that the City amend said previous Cooperation Agreement to allow an increase in the number of units to one hundred forth (140) and to increase the payment in lieu of tax from $25.9150 to $30.00 per unit.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to execute said amendments.
