A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS ACCEPTING BIDS FOR THE FENCING OF BASEBALL FIELDS AT JOE MACK CAMPBELL PARK

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro owns and maintains Joe Mack Campbell Park located at 3021 Dan Avenue.
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro bid the fencing for the baseball fields and the low bidder was Dacus Fence with a low bid of $51,595.00
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro has $418,380.49 in sponsorship money raised through sales of field sponsorships at Joe Mack Campbell Park and through the Arkansas Outdoor Recreation Grant.
WHEREAS, the funds for the fencing project shall come from 2005 budget line items 01-000-0500-33 Joe Mack Campbell Park-Grant; 07-000-0500-17 Restricted Funds-Soccer Field Donations and 07-000-0500-18 Restricted Funds Baseball Field Donations.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: That the City of Jonesboro accepts the low bids totaling $51,595.00 for fencing at the additional baseball fields at Joe Mack Campbell Park
SECTION 2: The Mayor, Doug Formon and City Clerk, Donna Jackson are hereby authorized by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.
