RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS AUTHORIZING A CHANGE ORDER WITH OLYMPUS CONSTRUCTION FOR CONSTRUCTION OF SIDEWALKS, DRAINAGE, HANDRAILS, AND OTHER RELATED ITEMS AT THE MERCANTILE CENTER

WHEREAS, The City of Jonesboro desires to enter into a change order with Olympus Construction for the construction of sidewalks, drainage, handrails, and other related items at the Mercantile Center, and
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro previously entered into a contract with Olympus Construction and the contract sum prior to this requested change was $2,603,770.16, and
WHEREAS, the change order will increase the contract by $78,752.48 for a total contract of $2,682,522.64.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:
SECTION 1: The City of Jonesboro shall enter into a change order with Olympus Construction for construction of sidewalks, drainage, handrails and other related items at Mercantile Center.
SECTION 2: A copy of said Change Order is attached hereto as Exhibit A.
SECTION 3: The Mayor, Harold Perrin, and the City Clerk, Donna K Jackson, are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.
