Title

A RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY TO PAY 25% OF THE RETIREES PHARMACY BENEFIT PREMIUM

Body

WHEREAS, the City has contracted to offer a medipak supplement health insurance and pharmacy benefit for qualified retired participants who are 65 years of age and over; and

WHEREAS, the qualified retired participant pays the full cost of the health insurance and pharmacy benefit premium; and

WHEREAS, the City is required to pay a portion of the premium to maintain the participant in the City’s group plan;

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:

Section 1: The City will pay 25% of the monthly premium for the pharmacy benefit premium only for these qualified participants; and

Section 2: There is appropriation money available from general administration account 01-134-0203 to cover this expense.
