A RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT BID NUMBER 2006:63 AND APPROVE THE CONTRACT WITH ALVIN CRABTREE & SONS FOR CONSTRUCTION AND INSTALLATION OF JETS SHELTERS

Body

WHEREAS, the company selected to provide construction and installation of shelters for the Jonesboro Economical Transportation System is Alvin Crabtree & Sons.

WHEREAS, this award has been made based off of the information presented to the Jonesboro Economical Transportation System through Bid Number 2006:63.

WHEREAS, $118,000.00 has been allocated in the Transportation Improvement Project filed with MPO, AHTD and FTA.  

WHEREAS, the Public Services Committee has reviewed and approves awarding the construction contract to Alvin Crabtree & Sons.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS:

SECTION 1: That the City of Jonesboro accepts the Bid #2006:63 of $112,686.46 from Alvin Crabtree & Son.

SECTION 2: The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.
