A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE CONTRACT AGREEMENTS WITH VARIOUS ENGINEERS UNDER PROFESSIONAL SERVICES FOR VARIOUS DRAINAGE PROJECTS (NOTE: THIS CONTRACT WAS AMENDED BY RES-06:246 ON SEPTEMBER 5, 2006)

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro desires to address five drainage locations that have been identified as "hot spots" within the city limits of Jonesboro; and
WHEREAS, the Administration and staff have negotiated with drainage engineers listed in the City's "Request For Qualifications" and have followed the State Professional Services guidelines and are recommending their selection.
Now therefore be it resolved by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas that:
1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with the following drainage engineers for the following drainage projects:
Centre Grove and Highland SSR Ellers $5, 970.
Fire Station #2 Miller Newell $4,000.
Flemon Rd and HWY 226 ETC $3,800.
Monroe, Chestnut, and Huntington SSR Ellers $5,970.
1700 Block West Warner Fisher and Arnold $8,000.
2. The funding for the execution of the contracts shall come from the account Drainage Study Part II, #07-100-02-50-00 and compensation shall be provided upon completion of the projects on or before July 31, 2006.
