AN ORDINANCE TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH WERNTZ AND ASSOCIATES. INC. TO PROVIDE AN ACTUARIAL STUDY OF THE CITY’S CURRENT RETIREMENT PLAN WITH PRINCIPAL FINANCIAL GROUP.

WHEREAS, the City Council of Jonesboro has determined the need for an actuarial study of our current retirement plan; and

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro released a Request for Proposal (RFP) and opened the proposals on June 4, 2008, and

WHEREAS, Werntz & Associates, Inc was selected as the best value bidder by the council;

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:

SECTION 1: That the City of Jonesboro accepts the bid of Werntz & Associate, Inc; and

SECTION 2: That the Mayor, Douglas Formon and City Clerk, Donna Jackson are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.
